Ask for the time you need.
Choose an available leave type and request full days or a partial day. Review your own requests and balances, edit a pending request or withdraw it if plans change.
LEAVE REQUESTS & PTO BALANCES
Give employees a clear way to ask for time off and managers the context to plan around it. Keep requests, decisions and balances connected as plans change.
Set up your team →See plans & pricingExample uses an eight-hour full-day policy and a balance-tracked type. Approved future leave is deducted when approved.
A SHARED PROCESS
Choose an available leave type and request full days or a partial day. Review your own requests and balances, edit a pending request or withdraw it if plans change.
Review dates, hours, balances and potential conflicts before deciding. A manager's own leave needs another manager's review.
Management can let coworkers see approved unavailable times. The shared calendar shows names and times, keeping leave types, private notes and balances out of that view.
WHEN PLANS CHANGE
An amendment or cancellation request should not leave everyone guessing which dates still apply. The approved leave remains effective until management approves the change.
Ask about your team's workflow →Submit an amendment. Managers compare the original and proposed request. Approval replaces the original and updates the associated balance and paid credits together.
If the amendment is declined or withdrawn, the original stays in place.
Request cancellation for manager review. Leave and its balance deduction remain in effect until cancellation is approved.
A pending request can instead be withdrawn immediately. Withdraw a pending amendment before cancelling its original.
BALANCES YOU CAN EXPLAIN
Start with recorded opening allowances. Keep manager adjustments, approved deductions and cancellation reversals in the balance history.
Pending hours are shown separately. They are not another deduction from the recorded balance.
Another 8-hour request is pending?
It appears separately as pending time. The recorded balance stays at 24 hours until that request is approved.
Illustrative ledger. Automatic accruals, carryover and balance caps are not included; managers maintain allowances and adjustments.
COMPANY SETTINGS
Authorized managers enable or disable leave requests and configure the options employees follow.
LEAVE & PTO QUESTIONS
Yes. Partial-day requests use one date and explicit start and end times. They can be on any weekday, but cannot run overnight. Full-day requests follow the company's configured working days and hours.
The system warns about a negative balance. Approval requires manager acknowledgement and an explanation. Configurable negative-balance limits are not currently included.
Overlapping pending requests, recorded work and negative balances produce warnings requiring acknowledgement and an explanation. Overlapping approved leave and duplicate manual paid-leave credits block approval until resolved.
No. Approved paid leave creates linked base-rate credits, separate from worked hours. Overtime treatment follows the applicable policy. Payroll includes each scheduled credit portion once its start is reached; approval does not pay the employee.
A request can still be made. Approving leave, an amendment or a cancellation requires authorized reopening of affected locks first. Pending leave and cancellation reviews can also prevent period closing.
New requests and amendments stop. Existing reviews, cancellations, reports, balances and history remain available.
Another manager must make that adjustment. This is separate from reviewing the manager's own leave request, which also requires another manager.
Use the leave workflow and leave report to review approved paid and unpaid leave. The planning report includes future approved leave. Calendar availability is a separate, minimal display; it does not expose private request details.
